Planning Manager

Logical are working with a leading provider of infrastructure and civil engineering contractor, we’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Planning Manager to join their dynamic team.



The Role:

As Planning Manager, you will be a key member of the project delivery team, responsible for overseeing all planning and scheduling activities. You will lead a team of planners and work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure the efficient delivery of projects.



Responsibilities



* Lead, manage and support all staff within your area of control conducting regular 121’s, Annual Performance Management sessions



* Management of all requirements of the company policies applicable to yourself and your team (e.g. managing attendance, sickness absence, timeliness, conduct, behaviours etc.)



* Lead by example promoting a positive, efficient and collaborative environment across the department and the wider business



* Actively encourage those within your span of control to have a shared vision of working as one team.



* Implement efficient streamlined processes that link all the business support activities



* Build robust methods of working to ensure ownership and accountability is enforced across the team



* Provision of weekly programmes ensuring all elements are in place to allow work to flow through. (e.g. granted permits, traffic management in place, resources booked etc.)



* Ensure the information contained within AURORA, Trackers or any other corporate systems is updated expediently maintaining accurate, usable data.



* Focus on meeting the SPEN KPIs and provide data necessary to populate business reports



* Liaise with project managers



* Lead weekly planning meetings



Essential:



* Developed strategic thinking, with the ability to develop and deliver multiple/diverse work streams



* Ability to work well under challenging and changing situations



* Proven record of Managing People with an approachable dynamic style



* Excellent time management skills



* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills – ability to effectively communicate at all levels both internally and externally (with staff, clients, customers, suppliers)



* Flexible approach to working hours to ensure the delivery of planned and unplanned activities.



* Open to change and have the ability to manage change seamlessly



* Be a team player with the drive to motivate and develop your team successfully
