Job Title: Production Planning Specialist
Job Summary:
The Production Planning Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing effective plans and strategies to ensure the successful execution of projects and initiatives. This role demands strong analytical abilities and a collaborative approach to ensure seamless coordination across departments.
Duties and responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor production schedules, orders, and material requirements to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Arrange daily production plans and manage the creation, approval, issuance, modification, and closure of work orders.
- Monitor and track the production output. In case of any abnormalities, coordinate with relevant departments to optimize the production schedule or report promptly to ensure the fulfillment of customer orders.
- Create and manage finished products shipment plans based on headquarters' sales management plan, and communicate with warehouse and logistics for shipment preparation.
- Analyze and report finished products inventory, communicate with headquarters' sales management to expedite product shipments, and organize special shipment meetings if necessary.
- Collect and report production data and shipment data regularly.
- Participate or organize order review meeting for non-standard orders. Evaluate and adjust production plans based on customer orders and production capacity to ensure timely order delivery.
- Track the delivery status of the materials according to the production schedule, ensure the safety stock and communicate with the headquarters to arrange the arrival of materials within the safety stock warning line.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering, science, or relevant fields.
- Solid computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Possess certain analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a demanding environment.
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Experience in production planning or material control within a manufacturing environment is advantageous
- Familiar with production planning, warehousing principles, cost control, and material management.
- Proficiency in the application of business software or modules such as OPP, ERP, MES, WMS.
- Proficient in English; Mandarin a plus.
