Plant Controls Specialist

Agilus is recruiting for a Plant Controls Specialist in the Energy Industry in North Vancouver, British Columbia. The Specialist Plant Controls will be responsible for supporting and driving process control strategy and IT/OT infrastructure improvements at the facility in order to maximize safety, efficiency and production performance. The role will be the key subject matter expert for all IT/OT infrastructure and will work closely with corporate IT teams to ensure compliance and alignment with corporate strategy. Responsibilities: Work closely with project, operations, maintenance, engineering, and third party vendors to provide technical support as well as design input related to the development, improvement and implementation of OT infrastructure and process control strategies and architecture associated with various systems (DCS/SIS) installed at the facility along with for future projects/plant expansions Participate in incident investigations as required Provide input during HAZOPs, risk assessments, and design reviews Participate in a diverse and inclusive work environment Assess performance of OT infrastructure in order to ensure reliable performance of operational assets and identify opportunities for improvement Provide guidance to a team of process control experts who are responsible for supporting the process control performance on daily facility operations Establish and maintain documentation, standards and information related to OT infrastructure and process control (control philosophies & narratives, cause & effect diagrams, shutdown keys, interlock narratives, loop drawings/P&ID, system turnover documentation) Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or equivalent Minimum of 5 years experience with IT/OT infrastructure and industrial equipment Process control programming and OT hardware maintenance experience preferred Excellent planning, project and contractor management skills Strong working knowledge of IT/OT systems and equipment Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills including process trending experience and interpretation of trends as it relates to the performance of plant equipment Self-motivated with the ability to work independently given appropriate guidance, and able to prioritize multiple tasks Broad knowledge of industrial equipment and facilities will be an asset Total rewards: Full Time opportunity Competitive Salary Interested?
