Plant Electrical Engineer
Excellent opportunity with our global chemical client to provide Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering leadership on plant projects, reliability and maintenance initiatives. Requires an extensive background in chemical plant design solutions to expand site electrical infrastructure, enhance plant system reliability, and provide direction for the overall site E&I strategy. Responsibilities: —Develop and lead plant’s E&I strategy.—Implement improvements for safety, maintainability, availability, and reliability for existing systems.—Mentor / train cross-disciplined teams on the operation / performance of E&I and controls systems.—Perform assignments involving application of established E&I and controls technology/principles.—Lead engineering efforts through all E&I plant project phases.—Manage and ensure contractors meet safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives. Qualifications: —BS Electrical Engineering degree with 8+ years experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering in chemical, pulp/ paper, refinery or process industry plants.—Must have broad knowledge of power distribution, instrumentation, and controls systems.—Extensive background in maintenance/ reliability, upgrades and continuous improvements in PLCs, DCS, electrical, and power distribution systems.
