Plant Engineer

Leading metal products manufacturer seeks Plant Engineer. Oversee maintenance and continuous plant improvements. Hands-on person.Non-Negotiables (We will check) Excellent Mechanical Aptitude. Exceptionally good with your hands. Has had hands-on maintenance experience on punches, fitting and turning machines, welding machines, cranes, motor vehicles (strong pref). More than 5 years.Government Certificate of Competency (Mechanical or Factories).Expert in Occupational Health and Safety. Practices and investigations.Innovative. Exposure to Industrial Engineering, TQM, Lean or equivalent. Has been involves in plant improvement projects from a conceptualisation and implementation perspective.Exposure to maintenance of old machines, custom machines and electro-mechanical machines.Leads as part of the team. What the person must be able to do:This role is in the South African metal products manufacturing industry. All duties would take place in this context.
