Wulfenstein Construction Co., a division of Pavement Recycling Systems, Inc. is a 100% Employee Owned (ESOP) company that services projects of all sizes and scopes including commercial, industrial and public or private sector with superior materials, top-notch equipment and outstanding operators. Our services include Aggregate Productions, Asphalt Paving, installation and repair of Underground Utilities and site preparation with Subdivision Improvements.
We own, operate, and maintain our own fleet of trucks, earth movers, crushing asphalt and paving equipment.
The Plant Maintenance Technician is responsible for a combination of duties involving general maintenance of an asphalt plant. The majority of work is outside in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Complete daily service requirements of the asphalt plant for preventative maintenance issues
- Fabricate and repair hoppers and conveyors
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance problems to ensure minimum cost and prevent operational delays
- Repair conveyor systems, i.e. bearing replacement, drive systems, change screen cloths, structural fabrication
- General maintenance of various pumps, electrical requirements, and wear prevention of equipment
- Operate mobile equipment including front-end loaders, Manlifts and Forklifts
- General labor duties such as shoveling and sweeping
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft programs
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Basic computer skills
- Scheduling flexibility
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Excellent math skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Education and/ or experience
- 2-5 years’ experience in asphalt plant maintenance
- Working knowledge of asphalt production and associated equipment and understanding of plant operations and safety requirements for the equipment
- Experience in welding and fabrication
- Experience with electrical troubleshooting
- Understanding of the type and quality of material being produced
- Familiar with OSHA and MSHA regulations
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual candidates
- General Construction experience
- Knowledge of the industry is a plus

- The stamina and ability to visit PRS work sites, offices and provide multiple-hour or day long training sessions.
