Plant Manager - Ceramics Manufacturing

Overview:

As the Plant Manager, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence within our manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality control, safety, and team leadership. The keys to success will be a proven track record in plant management, a strong commitment to safety and quality, and the ability to lead and inspire a high-performing team while leveraging available resources available.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • Experience in managing all aspects of Plant Operations, including Production, Quality Control, Safety, and Team Leadership.

  • Experience in Plant Management, Safety, and Quality.

  • Experience in managing Industrial Efficiency Pillar and Mentor the WCM Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

HSE Systems and Culture:

  • Assure safety standards are monitored and maintained and engage all site personnel in this requirement.

  • Set standards and expectations for the operational conditions that lead to 100% compliance with internal and external requirements.

  • Maintain key focus on leading indicators (SMAT, Near Miss and Unsafe Conditions, Risk Assessment coverage amount others)

  • Implement and oversee initiatives to minimize the plant’s environmental footprint.

Operational Leadership:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the plant operations team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

  • Oversee all aspects of manufacturing processes, from raw material input to finished product output.

  • Be a key partner for executing strategic diversification projects at the site to expand the business portfolio.

  • Manage the Industrial Efficiency Pillar and Mentor the WCM Coordinator.

Team Management:

  • Build and lead a high-performing plant operations team, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Production Management:

  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization and industrial efficiency.

  • Monitor and analyse production data to identify areas for improvement and execute improvement projects.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Participate in the development of the development of the plant budget, working then to execute same ensuring cost-effective operations.

  • Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and productivity.
