Psychiatric facility in Phoenix, AZ is looking to hire a Full Time Admissions Manager
Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for College Medical Center roles, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices, etc. The posted compensation for the position is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay at College Medical Center in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
To be responsible for building maintenance, additions/remodeling, equipment and distribution of utilities. To act as a liaison with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, inspectors and other relevant outside parties. To oversee maintenance personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 5 years hospital/institutional plant operations experience with at least 2 years of supervisory/management experience . Must possess a broad knowledge of the building trade, contracting, blueprints and management off personnel. Presents a professional image and demeanor.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Occasional sitting for long periods of time. Frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Occasional pulling and pushing up to 75 pounds. Corrected vision and hearing to a normal range. Finger dexterity. Occasional exposure to stressful situations. Frequent contact with public.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Constant exposure to noise. Occasional exposure to blood borne pathogens. Occasional exposure to chemicals and general cleaning agents. Shift hours may vary dependent upon the department needs to include weekends and holidays.
MAJOR TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Hospital Wide Management Accountabilities and Criteria
· Manager’s conduct conforms to the Management Principles, Mission, Vision, Values, and Code of Conduct of College Medical Center – Phoenix Hospital.
· Provides timely and objective feedback on employee job performance before or within two weeks of performance evaluation due date; rewards exemplary behavior; administers performance improvement plans including disciplinary action as necessary.
· Documents on-going staff meetings, , and in-service training activities.
· Effectively protects all health information from unauthorized access per HIPAA regulations and all applicable local and state laws.
· Demonstrates compliance with all applicable standards of regulatory agencies by developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and criteria based job descriptions that comply with applicable regulatory and accreditation agencies.
· Demonstrates the ability to forecast annual budgets for staffing and departmental needs; maintains department monthly expenditures; takes appropriate action to adjust accounts during the budgeted year; i.e. overages.

· Demonstrates an understanding of the Hospital’s Fire/Disaster Safety Manual by knowing personal as well as departmental role in the case of a code; has oriented staff to such.
· Functions with an awareness of patient safety issues and applies basic principles of safety as identified within the facility. Ensures that staff follows the occurrence reporting policy and procedure in reporting any potential safety issues.
Job Specific Duties
· Accurately prepares reports and statistics in a complete and accurate manner as required.
· Works closely with architects, engineers and consultants in the effective planning and implementation of projects requiring state and city approvals.
· Responsibly inspects and evaluates the physical condition of the hospital and other related buildings.
· Effectively plans and coordinates current and future projects as required.
· Effectively plans, organizes, directs and controls daily workflow in the Maintenance Department.
· Effectively works establishing good communication with all departmental personnel, maintains appropriate interdepartmental communications.
· Effectively demonstrates the ability to inspire confidence from patients, visitor and staff members by performing and communicating in a highly professional manner at all times.
· Effectively demonstrates the ability to exercise judgment during emergency situations, avoids hasty decisions and obtains and analyzes all pertinent information available in order to make the most informed decision.
· Effectively supervises the scheduling and assignment of duties to provide adequate staffing for the department.
· Effectively demonstrates a consistent level of performance, avoids periods of extremely high activity and very low activity, and maintains progress on special projects.
· Effectively directs emergency procedures well and effectively ensures that staff members are knowledgeable in emergency procedures.
· Demonstrates willingness to adjust personal schedule to complete workload or prepare for an inspection.
· Effectively seeks information necessary for completion of assigned duties.
· Efficiently reports to Administration any suggestions for positive changes or recommendations within the scope of the department function.
· Effectively maintains a safe environment in accordance with hospital policies and safety regulations.
· Effectively advise appropriate personnel of situations requiring follow up attention.
