Burner Operator
Summary:
The Burners’ primary duties are to perform production activities, under limited supervision, that requires a demonstrated skill and competency in production processes and machine operation. They will process quality products safely and efficiently by setting up, operating and performing simple programming of a Burner Operator.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Set up and program CNC burning machines
· Bevel parts to customer specs from work order
· Cut scrap to properly dispose
· Reads and interprets blueprints and machine drawings to determine specific burning or beveling requirements
· Controlling machines and processes (using either control mechanisms/direct physical activity to operate machines or processes
· Handling and moving objects
· Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials and manipulation
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Experience operating Burny LCD 10 controls
· 5+ years’ of relevant experience
· Ability to move controls on panelboard to regulate temperatures of solutions
· Must be able to handle multi torch and plasma operations
· Must be able to read instruments (thermometers, pressure gauges, potentiometers, etc.)
· Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints and geometric tolerances
· Understands OD/ID
· Must understand basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
· Ability to use a variety of hand tools such as hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, grinders, etc.
· Understands metric/standard measurements
