Plastic Fabricator

Position Summary:

Plastic Fabricators will be responsible for processing and fabrication of products and assemblies.

Job Tasks

• Plastic welding of various types of plastic, using hot air welding in shop or portable welding in the field.
• Be able to work safely with machine equipment, mills etc.
• Safely use table saws, routers, jointer and various hand tools.
• Be able to read and interpret design drawings and instructions.
• General cabinet making skills with plastic sheet materials, finish carpentry skills desired.
• Must be able to work on your feet for 8-10 hour days.
• Maintain a safe work environment in your area and throughout the shop.
• Be able to wear PPE as needed.
• Be able to perform work at times in a cleanroom environment with required PPE.
• Teflon welding skills is a plus.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Can work with limited supervision.
• Able to work well with others.
• Capable of complete processing and fabrication of products/assemblies without assistance (when appropriate) after initial lay out by shop coordinator.
• Can understand, interpret and carry out verbal as well as written instructions.
• Communication skills - able to understand written and verbal instructions including procedure breakdown, responding to phone and emails.
• Must be aware of, adhere to and follow all safety requirements within the shop as well as when outside the shop.
• Overtime can be required sometimes (as required by management)
• Able to track and record time to be submitted on proper documents at the end of each week.
• Keep work area clean and safe condition at all times.
• Adhere to company safety guidelines.
• Adhere to all "employee" guidelines
• Follow all shop guidelines and practices at all times.
