
Plating Process Engineer
Job Description The JobResponsible for electroplating research and development associated with new or existing products, equipment, instrumentation, Lean PACE project & new product project. To lead the plating manufacturing groups to meet production plan, department objectives.Job Responsibilities• Continual improve manufacturing process and equipment capability to achieve higher production yield and quality• Drive cost reduction programs through continual improvement activities• Plan and organize preventive maintenance program for manufacturing equipment• To supervise plating technicians and operators in meeting manufacturing requirement• To maintain manufacturing data in Mfg/Pro system• To support Lean PACE programs & new product projects• Provide and prepare Mill cost and plated sample• To completed sample plating trial run and submit FA report• Analyze, investigate and /or otherwise solve manufacturing process issues• Assist in the development and maintain of manufacturing methods/procedure and/or systems which comply with ISO or other applicable requirements• To purchase items, spare part for used in manufacturing activities• To develop new product or/and start up new process in the areas of electroplating in timely fashion• To authorize for plating production line stoppage when process or quality related issues occurred• Manage and monitor spare part consumption cost, plating lines utilization• Liase with Stamping and Assembly Department on manufacturing activities• Interface with Process Development Engineer on new products and processes’ requirementsJob Requirements• Possess a Degree in Science (Chemistry Engineering) or Mechanical Engineering or its’ equivalent• Two years experiences with reel to reel electroplating knowledge.• Knowledge of process FMEA.• Demonstrated knowledge of chemical safety,• Knowledge of electroplating technology and manufacturing process both chemically and mechanically.• Good communication skills in interfacing with customer, internal engineering and manufacturing group.• Ability to handle projects and follow them through to completion with minimum supervision.• Hands-on ability to develop product and process.• Ability to train others in proper handling of chemicals and to perform chemical analysis.• Good interpersonal skills, strong technical background with analytical mind.• Self-motivator and ability to communicate well with level of staff and external contacts.• Able to drive team to achieve department objectives.
