We are seeking a motivated PLC Software Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to join our growing team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth with a family owned company in business for 60 years. This position requires 25-50% travel in the US, Canada and overseas.

Responsibilities

- Understand and support the design, implementation and troubleshooting of PLC programs using Beckhoff Automation software for large-scale industrial applications.

- Maintain programming standards and best practices while providing solutions for customers.

- Read and understand different schematics including electrical and hydraulic

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the US and Austria to support PLC systems with HMIs, SCADA systems, and other industrial control equipment

- Experience delivering extraordinary service and managing exacting expectations of customers

- Regularly interact remotely with customers and operators to diagnose software issues and provide real-time solutions.

- Participate in on-site installations, commissioning, and customer training

- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards

- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in industrial automation

- Provide technical leadership on projects, including system architecture design and project planning

- Familiarity with IIoT platforms, cloud services, and data analytics tools

- Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and ensure project success

- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's professional development

Skills / Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field

- 3+ years of field experience in industrial automation and PLC programming

- Advanced proficiency in multiple PLC platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, GE, Omron, Schneider Electric)

- Proficiency in Beckhoff programming

- Extensive experience with HMI development, SCADA systems, and industrial networks

- Verifiable experience with AutoCAD, SQL, TwinCAT3, and Delphi is

- Knowledge of IIoT platforms and cloud integration (e.g., AWS IoT, Azure IoT)

- Experience with data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)

- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Control Systems Technician)

- Strong knowledge of industrial processes and manufacturing systems beyond conveyor type machinery

- Excellent project management and client communication skills
