The Organization:

Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District is home to 18,000+ . Formed initially as Williamson County Municipal Utility District No. 2 in 1977, BCMUD provides water and wastewater services, recreational activities, beautiful gardens, parks, and miles of trails through the Brushy Creek community. BCMUD operates four swimming pools, four tennis courts, and a disc golf course throughout the community.

At the heart of our District is the Brushy Creek Community Center. Our Community Center features two gyms, two racketball courts, weight room, rock wall, and recreational programming, including various fun activities, educational and fitness classes.

Brushy Creek employs approximately 190 seasonal, part-time, and full-time team members.

Pool Service Technician:

The Pool Service Technician is responsible for maintaining the District's pools. This position will maintain swimming pool water through routine maintenance of pool, equipment, and water chemistry.

Job Duties:

  • Assists in implementing, monitoring, and reporting on compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including conducting training, maintaining records, performing inspections, and supporting regulatory audits. Ensures compliance with local health and safety regulations and maintains a safe pool environment.
  • Performs routine pool equipment inspections and conducts preventative maintenance, including pumps, filters, heaters, and chemical feed systems.
  • Monitors water quality and chemistry, making adjustments to maintain proper pH, chlorine alkalinity, and calcium hardness levels and sanitation, and providing solutions to correct issues.
  • Conducts regular pool cleaning, skimming, vacuuming, and brushing walls to remove debris and maintain a clean water surface, including assisting with deck management and cleanliness.
  • Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, water quality readings, and any repairs performed.
  • Collaborates with team members to schedule and execute pool maintenance tasks without disrupting regular District operations.
  • Orders chemicals from approved vendors promptly to ensure uninterrupted pool operations.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid Texas driver's license.
  • Previous experience in pool maintenance or related field.
  • Knowledge of pool chemistry, water treatment, and filtration systems.
  • Ability to operate pool tools and equipment effectively.
  • Maintain current certification/license or ability to attain certification/license within 1 year of hire:
    • Certified Pool Operator

Schedule:

  • Hours: Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm
