Responsibilities

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

• Preparation of drawings, specifications, and reports for medium and high voltage distribution power systems. Substations, transmission, and distribution systems design.
• Support other senior engineers in the design of distribution and transmission power
• Project planning management supervision, coordination and administration of projects including distribution, transmission and substations
• Review and estimate construction budgets.
• Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs and attend construction meetings.

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:

• BS in Electrical Engineering.
• EIT, PE
• 5+ years of experience in engineering activities with a direct impact on electric power systems
• Experience in programs, projects, inspections, assessments and recommendations oriented to the maintenance, improvement and reliability of power plants
• Knowledge of AutoCAD
• Bilingual (English and Spanish)
• Experience in design of medium and high voltage power systems including aerial and underground lines, substations, transmission design .
• Experience with electrical field assessments and reports
• Knowledge in local and codes and standards
• Ability to coordinate with other disciplines and projects
