Job Title: Preventative Maintenance EngineerLocation: South Seas ResortDepartment: Owner Relations / Engineering & MaintenanceReports To: Director of Owner Relations, with a dotted line to the Director of Engineering

Job Summary:

The Preventative Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and minor repairs for each residence in the resort. This role ensures that all units are well-maintained, addressing small issues before they become major repairs. The engineer works closely with housekeeping and other departments to maintain the highest standard of resort residences while documenting and sharing findings with owners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs in resort residences, covering:
    • Bathrooms: Inspect and repair faucets, drains, showerheads, toilets, ventilation, grout/seals, towel bars, mirrors, and lighting.
    • Kitchen: Check and repair cabinet knobs, cabinetry, small and large appliances, plumbing fixtures, countertops, and lighting.
    • General Unit Maintenance: Conduct paint touch-ups, electrical outlets, door locks, ceiling fans, and general wear and tear.
  • Identify and handle minor electrical and mechanical issues as needed.
  • Complete a detailed Preventative Maintenance Checklist for each residence, documenting findings and actions taken.
  • Share checklist reports with the Preventative Maintenance Engineering Supervisor.
  • Work closely with Housekeeping to conduct maintenance following their inspections and ensure residences are ready for guests.
  • Communicate with Owner Relations regarding any necessary follow-ups or additional repairs beyond preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure tools and maintenance supplies are stocked and readily available.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with owners, guests, and team members.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in hospitality/residential maintenance or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot minor maintenance issues.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented environment with multiple departments.
  • Ability to complete reports and maintain detailed records of maintenance activities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as required.

Working Conditions:

  • Requires mobility to inspect multiple residences across the resort.

Work may include evenings, weekends, and on-call availability for urgent maintenance needs.
