Preventative Maintenance Technician - Material Handling

Brandt is currently seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician - Material Handling for the Material Handling division at our Mississauga Construction & Forestry location. The Preventative Maintenance Technician - Material Handling is responsible for completing on-site preventative maintenance services and repairs on the functional parts of all mechanical equipment at customer sites, utilizing state of the art technologies.   DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Performing all levels of Preventative Maintenance services on a scheduled basis in a professional manner. Identify issues with malfunctioning equipment, analyze the root causes, and devise appropriate solutions for repairs, replacements, or adjustments. Identify and report on additional items identified that require follow-up service work by a service technician. Ensuring the accurate capture and reporting of PM service checklist, inspections, and work order information for the benefit of customer reporting. Work directly with the customers and equipment operators. Utilize hoists, forklifts, power tools, cranes, loaders, vehicles, and manual tools for operational tasks. Operate machinery to evaluate its performance and verify the effectiveness of repairs or adjustments made. Other duties as assigned.   #LI-onsite Required Skills Proven experience contributing to a service-oriented environment. Motivated, energetic, and strong written and oral communication skills. High degree of mechanical aptitude. Willing to work after-hours and/or participate in shiftwork as required to support customer needs. Class D license required. Must have experience operating, servicing, and/or maintaining material handling equipment. High School Diploma or equivalent experience Required Experience Proven experience contributing to a service-oriented environment.
