Each of these sectors encounters critical sustainability challenges, and our clients, spanning these and numerous other areas, rely on our expertise to operate more sustainably, thus positively impacting our planet.ERM is seeking a motivated Principal Consultant Environmental Permitting to join our team in Warsaw.Location: Warsaw, PolandJob Type: Permanent, Full-timeAbout the role:Lead technical delivery of a variety of industrial environmental permitting projects.Provide expert technical leadership to permitting team members and to other teams within ERM.Have a working knowledge of environmental impact assessment disciplines, as relevant to environmental permitting.Provide technical/subject matter insight and review, to ensure that the quality of project deliverables represent ERM standards and are in line with client needs.Develop client proposals and to build client relationship as well as developing their own internal and external network.Ensure client satisfaction through project communication and engagement.About you:The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level in a relevant science or environmental discipline.Detailed working knowledge of the Environmental Permitting regimes across the Poland.A comprehensive understanding of the development of and application of Best Available Techniques in various sectors and also a good working knowledge of relevant European Directives, notably the EIA, Habitats/ Birds, Water and IED Directives.Experience in either a consulting environment, the regulatory sector or from industry.Strong previous experience in renewables environmental permitting is a must.Experience in producing Environmental and Social Impact Assessment Studies (ESIA) and Environmental and Social due Diligence projects (ESDD) aligned with international standards (e.g. IFC, EBRD, EIB) will be an advantage.Physical presence in the Warsaw office (hybrid mode, further details to be agreed during interviews).Fluent in English and Polish. Familiar with languages technical terminologies.
