Key Responsibilities:
- Project Involvement: You'll be part of a team that works on developing and delivering engineering solutions for electricity projects involving high voltage (33 kV and above).
- Design Work: You'll be responsible for designing steel structures for overhead power lines and the systems used in these designs.
- Project Management: You'll manage projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget. This includes handling finances and attending site meetings when needed.
- Team Leadership: You'll lead the Project Design Team and provide design support during certain stages of project development (referred to as NDP4.2 and 4).
Skills and Experience Needed:
- Software Proficiency: You should be skilled in industry-specific software like PLS CADD, PLS Tower, SAPS, or similar tools.
- Standards Knowledge: You need to be familiar with and industry standards, such as BS EN 50341 and the ENATS suite.
- Experience:
- Typically, you should have at least 8-10 years of experience in the industry after graduating.
- Ideally, 3-5 years of experience working on Grid overhead line (OHL) projects, or 5-10 years of general experience in the UK OHL industry.

- Education: A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, with a strong background in Maths (A-level or equivalent).
- Professional Aspirations: You should be aiming for or working towards membership in a professional engineering body (like MICE, MIStructE, MIET).
