Principal Electrical Engineer – LNG FEED Project

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join a leading team in the LNG FEED sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and development of electrical systems, focusing on voltages up to 132kV. This is a high-impact role that ensures compliance with industry standards and supports the delivery of complex electrical infrastructure for critical energy projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop electrical system designs for voltages up to 132kV, including overhead lines and reactive power compensation.
- Contribute to the conceptual, pre-FEED, study, and FEED phases of LNG and gas processing projects.
- Interface with grid companies to ensure that electrical systems comply with grid code requirements.
- Define electrical protection requirements and contribute to the design of brownfield modifications.
- Ensure all designs align with industry standards and project-specific requirements.
- Provide technical leadership in electrical engineering, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into the overall project.
Key Requirements:
- 12+ years of experience in electrical engineering within consultant engineering companies, machinery manufacturers, or end-user companies.
- Strong background in gas processing or LNG projects, with experience across conceptual, pre-FEED, study, and FEED phases.
- Proven expertise in 132kV electrical distribution systems, including interfacing with grid companies and handling protection requirements.
- Experience with brownfield modifications in electrical infrastructure.
- Prior experience working on large-scale energy projects is highly beneficial.
