Principal Electronics Engineer

Our client, a leading Aerospace company in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Principal Electronics Engineer for a contract position. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to contribute to cutting-edge technology and work in a flexible working environment.



Key Responsibilities:



Hardware requirements capture and management

Concept development for complex functions and systems

PCB design for FPGA

High-speed digital design and analysis

Integration and test

Design of supporting electronics, including point of load power and analogue

Production of material for design reviews

Development of test planning, integration, and design verification

Mentoring and supervision of more junior team members



Job Requirements:



You really must have:



Proficiency with design of high-speed digital PCBs with large FPGAs

Experience with design tool and also in the lab

A passion for new technology

A desire to improve how we deliver to our customers

You will have experience in several of the following areas:



Designing electronics for harsh environments

PCB for FPGAs

High-speed digital interfaces (10 Gbps and faster!)

Matlab

Spice

Mentor DxDesigner

Hyperlynx

Keysight SIPro/PIPro
