Principal Engineer High Speed Interfaces for Automotive Microcontroller (f/m/div)

Job Description As a Principal Engineer for High-Speed Interface Systems, you will play a crucial role in shaping advanced technologies, such as CSI-2/D-PHY and PCIe , as well as standard I/O interfaces . You will work closely with technology development teams, system architects, and chip-package co-design experts throughout the IP development process—starting from defining product requirements to successfully transferring the design to the SoC team. In your new role you will: Co-define the post-silicon validation and characterization requirements and necessary compliance tests Work with software teams for defining critical patterns for robustness validation Provide training and knowledge sharing Monitor activities and derive actions together with Infineon representatives of standardization committees for upcoming automotive interface standards Contribute with technical guidance for make or buy decisions Be responsible for technical topics within IP development contracts for High-Speed interfaces Analyze suppliers test concepts and integrate them into overall SoC test strategy (e.g. analog test bus) Give input towards methodology for smooth integration of external IP into Infineon’s Design System as well as SoC integration Challenge requirements to achieve best price-performance ratio Your Profile You are open to new challenges, embracing opportunities even when the path to a solution is not immediately clear. With a proactive mindset, you continuously strive to improve efficiency by identifying trends and leveraging upcoming innovations. Your ability to establish successful cooperation across boundaries ensures smooth collaboration, while your appreciation for the contributions of colleagues fosters a positive and productive environment. You are best equipped for this task if you have: A degree in Electrical Engineering , Computer Science , Physics or a related technical field At least 5 years of relevant work experience in the area of mixed signal design architectures and standard I/O interfaces (single ended and differential) Good understanding of custom layout techniques / definitions for mixed signal circuits; knowledge in ESD, Latch-Up, packaging and PCB concepts & requirements would be a plus A good understanding regarding methods of product validation and characterization , especially for high speed signalling Ideally a good understanding of Silicon foundry Process Design Kit ( PDK ) contents and their interaction with mixed-signal IP development Basic knowledge about safety standards and application (e.g. ISO 26262) would be a plus Working experience in international and cross-functional technical teams within multicultural environment Excellent English communication skills Please send us your CV in English.
