Principal Engineer, Mechanical

In our 'always on' world, we believe it's essential to have a genuine connection with the work you do.​Due to our continued growth and customer demand, we are hiring a Principal Mechanical Engineer who will be based in Suzhou to support the Outdoor Wireless Network (OWN) business segment, which supports the backbone of outdoor cellular and Wi-Fi systems.  How You'll Help Us Connect the World Expertise in Base Station Antenna industry. Acts as a key contributor for technical trend of mechanical development, such as extrusion process of cavity phase shifter design, relative dipole manufacture process etc. Use standard & innovative approaches delivering significant and patentable innovative solutions for new antenna design. Lead discussions on technical topics with Production Line Manager to ensure that the true needs of the market and customer. Demonstrates ability to independently structure a project team's work as a team lead of a project team. Proactively identifies technical obstacles and actively helps in resolving those for the project or ideation teams. Builds and nurtures relationship within the technical leadership community in the BU. Coaches and creates development opportunities for team members in both project and non-project settings. Required Qualifications for Consideration A completed bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering required. A completed Master´s Degree in Engineering or related disciplined preferred. 10 years+ working experience in base station antenna design. Experienced in platform antenna development, especially extrusion process of cavity phase shifter, also the relative component such as dipole structure and material etc. Excellent problem-solving capability and can develop novel approaches to reduce cost and schedule for new antenna development. Good Interpersonal communication abilities. Good written and spoken English. Leadership for the technical development of Base Station Antenna. Coaches and creates development opportunities for team members. Experienced in sheet metal, aluminum extrusion, plastic injection molding, die casting process and design. Familiar with structure simulation software, such as ANSYS workbench or SolidWorks simulation (Nice to have).
