Principal Engineer, System Modelling Engineering
Job Posting Title: Principal Engineer, System ModellingEngineeringAnalog Devices, Inc. is looking for a Principal Engineer for System Modelling teamto join our Digital Business Unit in Bengaluru, India, location.About ADI:Analog Devices, Inc. is a leading global high-performance analog technology company dedicated to solving our customers' most complex engineering challenges. We play a critical role at the intersection of the physical and digital world by providing the building blocks to sense, measure, interpret, connect, and power devices and systems. We design, manufacture, test, and market a broad portfolio of solutions, including integrated circuits (ICs), software and subsystems that leverage high-performance analog, mixed-signal and digital signal processing technologies. We embrace a culture of innovation and collaboration to push the state of the art.Digital IC Design at ADI:ADI has long been considered the industry leader in high performance analog/mixed signal semiconductors, and we specialize in bridging the real word to the digital world: what is increasingly referred to by the technical community as “the edge”. Our Digital Design engineers are responsible for developing digital designs that will meet all specifications, work flawlessly in a product team’s system and be optimally manufacturable and testable.Role & Responsibilities:As a Systems Modeling Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our product design life cycle by implementing cutting-edge development methodologies. You will be part of a collaborative engineering team focused on system modeling, simulation, and architecture analysis. Your primary responsibility will be to enable pre-silicon software development and early system validation.System Modeling: Develop and refine SystemC models of Systems-on-Chip(SoC’s) comprising subsystems, peripherals, accelerators, and processors to accurately represent the behavior and interactions of complex systems.Simulation: Utilize SystemC simulation tools and methodologies to validate and verify system-level designs, ensuring functionality and performance meet requirements.Architecture Analysis: Develop approximately timed or Cycle accurate models and system platform. Conduct in-depth analysis of system architectures to identify potential bottlenecks and help architects to optimize performance and enhance overall system efficiency based on the analysis results.Pre-silicon Software Development: Collaborate with software engineers to enable early software development on virtual platforms.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware design, software development, and design verification.Minimum Qualifications:BS/BE in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or Computer Science, or related field10+ years of industry expMS or PHD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or related field +4 years of industry expProficiency in SystemC modeling and simulation techniques, C, C++, with hands on experience in developing SystemC modelsStrong understanding of SoC architecture and hardware/software co-design principlesFamiliarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps) and tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins) is desirableExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivated team player with the ability to collaborate with team members of varying skillsetsAbility to work effectively as part of a geographically dispersed teamJob Req Type: ExperiencedRequired Travel: Yes, 10% of the timeShift Type: 1st Shift/Days
