Job Description
With our incredibly strong project pipeline of truly transformational energy and transport projects we are seeking a Principal Environmental Planner / Scientist to join our ‘Impact Assessment and Permitting’ Environmental team in Sydney.

Being part of the team at AECOM means you will use your knowledge and expertise to influence positive environmental outcomes on projects. Environment, Social and Governance is embedded in everything we do, and our Environment team regularly works closely with designers and engineers to drive real change at the genesis of a project.
Some of your duties will include:

Mentor junior and mid-level consulting staff to develop their skills in the environmental planning and approvals technical area.

Working directly with AECOM’s design and engineering teams to achieve positive environmental outcomes.

Identifying individuals with high potential and enable them to quickly progress their careers with AECOM.

Develop new client relationships and expand existing relationships through timely delivery of projects, value for money and quality service.

Lead high profile, major infrastructure assessment projects.
Qualifications
We are looking for an experienced professional who can lead the delivery of timely, high-quality environmental impact assessments, constraints analyses, strategic assessments and environmental management plans and assist in the organisation of resources, budgets, and timelines for the management of these projects.
For this Principal position in our team, we require someone with:

Extensive consulting experience in NSW, with demonstrated technical, commercial and delivery acumen.

Superior project management and project delivery skills, including time management and organisational skills.

A high level of technical competence in environmental planning and approvals, due giligence and land use planning.

REAP Certification, or eligible for REAP certification and currently seeking REAP certification.

Industry recognition as a leader in ‘Impact Assessment and Permitting’ with well-established industry networks.
