Principal Hardware Engineer

Job Description

Randstad are looking for a principal hardware engineer for a client in Malvern in the defence industry.The company are looking for someone to take ownership of a project from the idea phase, through the concept development phase to system demonstration in the laboratory and in the field. They need someone with a broad electronic design skill-set and experience with design of multi-layer high-speed digital Printed Circuit Boards.

To be successful you should be experienced in electronic design and be able to take control of your own workload. You need to be able to liaise with the other teams and contribute your ideas well. The role requires a strong understanding of analogue and digital design as well as concept design.

Key Responsibilities

• RF Experience (Essential)
• Taking PCB designs from concept to completion.
• Requirements gathering, capability to work using agile or formal methods.
• FPGA Experience

3 days a week in the office.

SC clearance, or eligibility, essential
