Principal Manufacturing Engineer
My client is an established global manufacturer of large engineered-to-order equipment supplying throughout EMEA from their Droitwich, UK site.
The Principal Manufacturing Engineer is a critical function to create, deliver and implement improvements within the manufacturing facility.
Extensive experience in a similar manufacturing environment is essential; fabrication, structural steel, skid mounted plant, welding.
The Role
- Drive process improvements/business transformations/design and implement modern techniques and tooling / fixtures.
- Evaluating and improving quality control processes, production processes, methods, schedules, downtime, cycle times, availability of machines and waste management
- Ensuring compliance
- Reviewing and calculating costs
- Planning workflow, space requirements and equipment placement to maximise manufacturing efficiency using MRP/ERP
- Coordinating maintenance services
Hours: 38 hours pw, flexible working, core hours 0930-1530
Requirements
- Highly experienced Principle or Senior Manufacturing Engineer
- Key experience leading DFA, DFM, PFMEA
- Background in a engineered to order (ETO) / fabrication & assembly environment, structural steel
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement (Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt ).
- Strong systems background in MRP/ERP, project management
- AutoCAD/ Solidworks would be an advantage.

- Salary to £47K - £53k
