Role Overview
As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you’ll lead the delivery of mechanical design and engineering services for water sector projects. Reporting to the Project Discipline Engineer or Engineering Manager, you will:
- Execute and manage mechanical design tasks, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of work packs.
- Maintain quality assurance and auditable records, ensuring compliance with CDM and client standards.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Uphold technical excellence and ensure all designs meet water sector codes and standards.
Skills and Experience Required
- Extensive experience in mechanical engineering, with a proven track record in the water sector.
- Strong knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to manage design deliverables, ensuring high quality and timely execution.
- Proficiency in maintaining technical documentation and quality assurance processes.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with teams, clients, and stakeholders.
