Piper Maddox are partnered with a leading, innovate battery manufactuer in Europe, seeking a Principal Cell Engineer. You will be leading the charge in developing high-performance, reliable, and cost-effective battery cells that can power the future.

What You'll Do:
- Lead Innovation: Spearhead the research, design, and development of cutting-edge battery cell technologies.
- Optimise Processes: Explore and implement advanced welding techniques and assembly processes to boost cell performance and reliability.
- Analyse & Test: Conduct thorough analysis and testing to ensure our cells meet the highest standards of performance and safety.
- Drive Improvement: Develop strategies for continuous improvement in both cell design and manufacturing processes.
- Mentor & Guide: Provide technical mentorship to our team of engineers and scientists, guiding their growth and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Ensure Compliance: Stay ahead of industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements, ensuring everything we do is up to code.
- Maintain Quality: Uphold rigorous quality control and testing procedures to deliver consistently excellent products.
- Collaborate: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive innovation and hit our ambitious goals.
-Communicate: Translate complex technical concepts into clear, understandable language for non-technical stakeholders.
- Research & Develop: Dive deep into new cell chemistry's, materials, and technologies, always keeping an eye on the future.

What You'll Bring:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus!
- At least 10 years of hands-on experience in battery cell R&D, with a proven track record of leading successful projects.
- A deep understanding of electrochemistry, battery materials, and cell manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a knack for project management.
- Stellar communication and interpersonal abilities, with the talent to convey complex ideas to a variety of audiences.
- Experience with quality control and compliance standards in the battery industry.
- Proficiency in engineering software for modelling, simulation, and analysis.
