Principal/Senior EDS System Engineer - £40k to £80k - EV - South Europe One of my key clients is a leading innovator in the field of electric vehicle (EV) technology, dedicated to creating sustainable transportation solutions for a greener future. They're committed to pushing the boundaries of EV technology and delivering cutting-edge solutions that redefine the automotive industry. As they continue to grow and expand they're seeking a talented and experienced EDS System Engineer for their team. The EDS System Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of Electrical Distribution Systems for my clients EV platforms. This role requires a strong background in electrical engineering, with expertise in EDS architecture, wiring harness design, and system integration. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing EDS systems for automotive applications and a passion for innovation in the EV industry. Role: EDS System Engineer Salary: £40k to £80k Location: South Europe Sector: EV Responsibilities: Lead the development of EDS architectures for EV platforms, from concept to production, ensuring compliance with performance, safety, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers, to integrate EDS systems into vehicle platforms. Define requirements and specifications for EDS components, such as wiring harnesses, connectors, and distribution modules, and select appropriate components for integration into EDS architectures. Conduct system-level simulations and analysis to optimize EDS architectures for efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness. Perform validation testing and verification of EDS systems to ensure compliance with internal and external standards and regulations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance EDS system performance, reliability, and scalability. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on EDS system development for automotive applications. Strong understanding of EDS components, such as wiring harnesses, connectors, and distribution modules, and their integration into vehicle architectures. Proficiency in electrical design and simulation tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, CATIA, etc.). Experience with automotive industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 26262, UN ECE R100, etc.). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
