You will be part of a team responsible for designing and implementing the container platformfor 5G telecommunication networks, contributing to industry-leading technologies in the Kubernetes and Telecom ecosystem, for example projects, and . You will be working on industry-leading projects and technologies and breaking new ground with Telco Partners in Japan.As a part of a geographically distributed team, you will collaborate with multiple Red Hat engineering teams and open source communities around the globe.To be successful in this role, you will need to have motivation, curiosity, passion for problem solving, and experience with Linux technologies, Kubernetes and open source development models.Primary job responsibilitiesBring Telecom High Availability and small footprint concepts to the CNF platform, enabling 5G vRAN and Core deploymentsPlay an active role and contribute to multiple open source projects and communities like Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, Open vSwitch (OVS), and Open Virtual Network (OVN)Troubleshoot, analyze bug root causes and provide resolutionsReview design, enhancement proposals and patches from other membersCollaborate with partners on leading edge deployments of OpenShiftSystem level engineering and design for performanceWork with the quality engineering team (QE) to ensure effective and complete test coverageDefine, contribute to and collaborate on new system architectures for Partners. Publicize the team's work through blogs, web postings, or conference talksWork across product teams to influence future directionsRequired skillsBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent working experience7+ years of experience in a Linux environment with at least one of the following languages: Golang, Python, Java, or C/C++Good knowledge of Linux Kernel internals and architecture and to be able to work with Linux Kernel developers to debug and resolve issues.Comfortable working on large multidisciplinary problems and bringing together a diverse set of technical options to a clear path forward.
