Principal Systems Engineer
Location – Coventry
Salary range - £55,000 to £65,000

Your duties:
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on Systems Engineering and MBSE to internal and external stakeholders.
- Coach and mentor colleagues in Systems Engineering practices, helping to build their skills and confidence.
- Lead and supervise the adaptation and development of Systems Engineering practices tailored to specific projects or programs.
- Communicate effectively and negotiate with stakeholders to ensure the development and delivery of optimised systems.
- Demonstrate deep expertise in your domain, while rapidly assimilating and applying new domain knowledge.
- Work collaboratively across engineering disciplines and with other functions to ensure integrated, effective solutions.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- A comprehensive understanding of Systems Engineering, including its approaches, processes, and procedures.
- A strong foundation in engineering science—encompassing physics, chemistry, and mathematics.
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in a STEM-related discipline.
- Awareness of the interdisciplinary factors impacting system design, including engineering, law, commerce, management, logistics, and politics.
- Membership in a relevant professional institution and Chartered status, or demonstrable progress toward Chartership.
- A proven track record of coaching and mentoring, supporting the development of peers and teams.
