JOB DESCRIPTION
Title:
Principal Telecommunication Engineer
Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for the delivery of the TSI/Telecoms Package.

Support the Telecoms Lead Engineer in all other Telecoms activities.

Develop Telecoms Systems Specifications, TSI Scope of Work, and Bill of Materials.

Prepare Telecoms systems block diagram sketches.

Review telecoms systems studies such as PAGA coverage study, radio coverage study, VSAT link calculation, fiber optic link budget, etc.

Prepare requisition and perform technical bid evaluation of Telecoms Systems.

Perform telecoms power consumption, heat dissipation, and weight estimation.

Liaise with clients to resolve engineering comments and provide solutions.

Coordinate with other disciplines and contractors on systems interfaces.
Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Telecommunications).

Minimum of 12 years of experience in Telecoms Detailed Engineering in the Oil and Gas industry, preferably on offshore projects.

Knowledge of international regulations, codes, and standards affecting Telecoms Systems.

Knowledge of Telecoms studies and calculations.

Proficient in writing Telecoms specifications.

Team player who can interact effectively with colleagues from other disciplines, clients, and suppliers.
