About the Role
During this , the will develop automation solutions to assist production operators in highly manual parts handling operations. The outcome will be a hard- and software solution ready to deploy into production, preferably with off-the-shelf and open-source components. This project will require cross-departmental coordination between the Engineering, Quality, and Production departments, and the will need to engage with other department managers/employees at Stellar.
What You Get to Do
- Work closely with Process Engineers and Production Operators to document workflows requiring manual handling of production materials
- Set up hardware and develop software recipes to pick & place, sort, and inspect sensitive ceramic parts, with a variety of form factors
- Perform time studies and process analyses to reduce waste, increase throughput and quality, and set production standards during processing
- Document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for developed production operations
- Other related duties as assigned by the Manager
About You
- Must be a student enrolled in an accredited university or institution pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in an engineering program.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Active student with a major in a relevant Engineering Discipline (Mechanical, Industrial, Robotics, etc.)
