Total Number of Openings1About the position:The Process Control & Simulation Lead is part of the Process Engineering and Automation team within Chevron’s ENGINE Center.This role supervises a team that provides technical support for the enterprise in dynamic process modeling, operator training simulator development, process control, alarm management & process data analytics and applications in the Chevron ENGINE Center.The Process Control & Simulation Lead will manage a team that forms part of a larger Process Control & Simulation function across Chevron, working closely with their counterparts in the Chevron Technical Center (CTC).Key responsibilities:Provide a safe, respectful work environment for the teamManage team in support of the team’s subject matter consulting for capital projects or existing operations across the enterprise.Provide leadership & direction in the areas of facility optimization, process control, dynamic & integrated process simulation, operator training simulators, alarm management, process analytics & process applications.Collaborate with functionally linked CTC chapter manager(s) in work assignment and prioritization of the Process Control & Simulation Team in the ENGINE.Coordinate training, mentoring, coaching, career development, performance management responsibilities for direct reports.Ensure that team and individual deliverables are understood, performance expectations are clear, and that progress is measured and reported.Participate in recruitment and hiring within Process Engineering and Automation teamRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech.) from a deemed/recognized (AICTE) universityProven competency in process simulation, process control or related fields.Demonstrated supervisory experienceStrong written and verbal communication skills to interact with Chevron’s global employee workforceDemonstrated supervisory experience of diverse engineering teamsPreferred Qualifications:Master’s or higher degree in Chemical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech.) from a deemed/recognized (AICTE) universityProven 10 – 15 years experience in process engineering with 10 years of direct experience in process control, dynamic process simulation or related fieldsCompetency in data science and analyticsChevron ENGINE supports global operations, supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly, the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1:30pm to 10:30pm.Chevron participates in E-Verify in certain locations as required by law.
