Process Control Specialist Operational Technology (OT) Infrastructure

· Supports and fosters safety and environmental compliance
- Support all aspects of the operation regarding process control related equipment and issues
- Works closely with Maintenance and Operations to identify and resolve OT issues.
- Leads troubleshooting efforts of OT equipment related to control systems. Helps promote technical skills in process control group.
- Manage and direct consultants, contractors, and vendors during OT related projects.
- As part of the Process Control team, shares in the responsibility of providing weekend and off-hour availability to support Process Control the mill needs as well as startup support from planned and unplanned shutdowns.
- Evaluates, troubleshoots, and maintains process control OT.
- Support IT Department as needed to support plant.
- Utilizes modern process control OT equipment theory along mill standards to design and configure systems on new and existing process control OT system.
- Assists project engineers and managers in the planning, development, and implementation of capital projects with OT related equipment.
- Engages in development of short and long-term planning of OT system upgrades and migrations.
- During project design, assists with coordinating the development of OT system hardware architecture configuration between operations, engineering/maintenance, and control system suppliers. Participate in factory checkout of equipment prior to delivery to confirm design and functionality.
- Maintains a strong emphasis on process OT system improvement projects, while presenting focused innovations, cost saving improvements, process OT optimization, etc.
- Designs and implements OT system hardware based on process knowledge, applicable activities.safety and environmental requirements, operational need, and maintenance requirements that provide clearly defined benefits.
- Provides technical support and training to guide changes to plant process OT equipment in order to improve reliability, operational and maintenance knowledge in turn improving operating efficiency.
- Maintain specified OT and related equipment records.
- Participate in downtime maintenance and readiness planning and project management
· Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, participating in professional societies
· Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis to help resolve outstanding issues
· Maintain critical backup programs, licensing and spare parts.
