Job Title: Process Design Engineer

Location: Hybrid – Various UK Offices (South London, South West, Midlands, Manchester, Newcastle)

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £40,000 - £65,000 (Dependent on experience and level)



About the Role:

We are working with a leading consultancy that specialises in the water industry and is seeking a Process Design Engineer to support the development of innovative and sustainable water and wastewater treatment solutions. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work on complex process systems, contributing to cutting-edge technologies and environmental sustainability.



Key Responsibilities:



Develop and optimise process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for water treatment plants.

Perform mass and energy balance calculations to improve efficiency.

Select appropriate process equipment and conduct feasibility studies.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure system integration.

Ensure compliance with water industry safety and environmental regulations. Requirements:



Degree in Chemical, Process, or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience in process design for water or wastewater treatment.

Familiarity with process simulation tools (Aspen HYSYS, HTRI, or similar).

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work on complex projects.
