Process Engineer

We are actively recruiting a Process Engineer to join an industry leading business in Sheffield.



Responsibilities



As part of the technical team, the Process engineer’s responsibilities will include:



* Assisting the engineering team to design, specifying and sourcing components for Hydrogen generators.



* of PFD (Process flow diagrams) and P&ID (Piping & instrumentation diagrams).



* Generating engineering documentation like technical specification documents, spec sheets, equipment/valve lists and SOPs.



* Communicating with vendors to source process equipment.



* Assist in the of procedures and risk assessment documentation.



* Operating equipment in an R&D settings.



* Analysing datalogger files to try and improve system performance.



* Participate in H&S meetings and reporting potential issues/improvements in the company's H&S practices.



* Assisting operations team with root cause analysis and fault finding activities.



Qualifications, experience and skills



Essential requirements:



* A bachelor’s degree in Process/Chemical engineering (or equivalent) or 3 years of experience in a related field.



* Minimum 3 years working in an engineering design environment.



* Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment developing first-of-kind technology.



Desirable qualifications/experience:



* Previous experience working with Hydrogen or other flammable gases in an ATEX/Ex environment.



* Previous experience specifying process equipment and dealing with vendors.



Offer



Salary - £40,000 - £50,000 plus:
