
Process Engineer.

A Day in the Life Medtronic is hiring a Process Engineer for a temporary assignment, responsible for serving as Process Engineer (Process SPOC) with deep expertise in processes, eventually committed to owning and managing Process Development activities (characterization/IQ/OQ/PQ). In the role, you will also master design for reliability and manufacturability tools and principles. You will be responsible for applying technical rigor during process development phases. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Recommend and implement equipment and processes to meet quality standards and improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques as well as production yields for new and/or existing products. Integrate equipment and component/material capabilities to meet process target specifications and technology target specifications. Review product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods to determine costs and schedules, while also interacting with product design and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible. Drive process performance improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, establish and enforce design rules to streamline process workflows, lead the innovation, development and/or optimization of new manufacturing concepts, processes and procedures for transfer to manufacturing operations. Commit to scouting and feasibility work, material selection, process and equipment selection, tooling/fixture and equipment installation and assessment of inputs, outputs and alignment to requirements. Develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques including the measurement systems, while also ensuring processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations. Required knowledge and experience: Engineering background and education 3-5 years of experience in process management within a manufacturing, production environment Laser welding experience, along with past exposure to statistical analysis Lean Six Sigma-based process development experience Experience in test metrics, mechanical design principles with an innovation mindset Excellent leadership and communication skills aimed at performing as a single point of contact Fluency in French and English Physical Job Requirements The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.
