The Corporate Real Estate (CRE) organization is a centralized department that is responsible for CRE activities worldwide, serving >40,000 employees. Your roleAs the Process Safety Manager, you are part of the Corporate Real Estate (CRE) Competence Team. The competence team is responsible for maintaining engineering standards for construction projects in the Netherlands, developing and contributing to the utilities and industrial master plans, collaborating with projects and the maintenance organization on ensuring we uphold the high standards for our existing and new assets. The Process Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a consistent approach (policies, practices, and competences) to process and asset safety. On a daily basis, you will be working with stakeholders responsible for construction projects (green and brown field), asset maintenance, and Quality, Environment, Health and Safety (QEHS) within CRE. Your task will be to ensure safe start-up and operation of assets. This will be completed through various means, ranging from developing and maintaining internal documentation and requirements, to design reviews, acceptance of new installations (PSSR & SRB) on the floor inspections or safety walks, and owning various legal requirements, for example those related to ATEX.You will also work closely with our global CRE QEHS team on improving safety in the Netherlands by sharing best practices, contributing to safeguarding and improve safety maturity within CRE.While ASML Netherlands does not fall under BRZO, we strive to always improve safety for our people and assets. You will report to the Manager Process Critical Asset Engineering. ResponsibilitiesKey focus is on the Netherlands and, when needed, in an advising role at a global level:Develop the vision for ASML on asset safety as the responsible lead for The Netherlands policies and plans. Ensure and manage the awareness of and adherence to technical safety standards and procedures within ASML.Together with the Competence Managers, develop and maintain asset safety documentation for setting internal requirements and meeting external demands.Provide expert advice and support to projects and operations in asset process safety to adhere to external and ASML internal standards.Provide approval for new process designs and plant modifications from a process safety perspective.Lead, participate and organize asset related HSE risk assessment workshops and studies, including HAZOPs, HAZIDs, LOPAs reviews, pre startup safety reviews (PSSR), ATEX assessment, QRAs, etc.Organize and facilitate CRE Safety Review Board (SBR) meetings in the Netherlands.Owner of safety documents such as the EVDs (explosion safety documents).Work across the site to improve asset related Process Safety Management requirements and initiatives.Collaborate with the CRE QEHS team to ensure there are no gaps between people, asset, and process safety related topics.Identify and judge the risk of facilities/design and advise pragmatic and cost-effective solutions and recommendations.Participate in incident investigations, audits and Go-and-Sees. Drive process safety improvements and follow up on audit findings in NL.Definition of the performance requirements of relevant asset safety systems.Develop and maintain an asset safety roadmap in collaboration with the CRE EHS maturity model and supporting worldwide roll-out of the resulting asset safety improvement program.Support regional requests for root cause analysis or engineering/compliance reviews and drive solutions for improvements.Ensure technical competence development in all relevant areas of expertise.Ensure that required expert knowledge is being made available where needed and playing a leading role in relevant communities of practice, which means sharing knowledge and collaborating with your colleagues from other regions.Responsible for planning, driving and supporting the implementation of new or changed standards, guidelines and tooling and supporting colleagues at sites in the translation of standards.Single point of contact for our global CRE QEHS.Education and ExperienceCompleted master’s degree in process engineering, industrial safety engineering, or similar.At least 5 years of relevant experience in process safety related function in a similar high-tech or process industrial environmentWorking knowledge in work processes like management of change (MOC), Hazard and effect management process (HEMP), Safety Instrumented Functions (SIF), Cause and Effect diagrams, Emergency response (ER) and alarm management.Ability to think and communicate in scenarios and barriers.Analytical and strategic competent, but capable to implement tactical solutions with a team (pragmatic).Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, dealing with senior and medior management levels, peers, teams, service providers, contractors and consultants.High organizational sensitivity and situational awareness.Strongly results-orientated with a corresponding sense of ownership and responsibility; directs work and ensures accountability.Excellent decision-making skills in fast-changing and complex environments, and capable of dealing with uncertainties.Proactive in finding areas where your input is highest value add as well as in personal development and keeping up to date with the latest developments around asset safety.Certification in the following topics would be highly beneficial: HAZOP voor begeleiders, ATEX inspection Ex 007/008 or ATEX Masterclass, Process Safety Management, LOPA Specialist, etc.Fluent in spoken and written business English (C1 or higher) and intermediate proficiency in spoken Dutch (B1 or higher).We offerA job with a promising future in ASML NetherlandsFlexible structuring of daily work hoursWe reward performance with attractive compensationA varied and innovative work environment in a strong teamWe offer you specific opportunities for advanced training and development so that we can realize your professional plans for the future togetherFlat hierarchies and short decision-making processes that encourage independent workWe promote team spirit through regular company eventsExtensive health and sports offers (e.g. subsidy for sports activities, health days, company doctor, free vaccinations, etc.)A variety of attractive discountsWe are looking for people who can shape the future with us and inspire themselves and others for innovative technologies, new challenges and future-oriented solutions.
