gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Process Technician / Mechanical Technician to work at their facility based near Wrexham



Performance Objectives



Lead process improvements to include cycle time efficiencies, scrap reduction, and establishment of optimal processing parameters.

Assist in the tool changeovers, as required, process set-up, repair, and troubleshooting of all equipment including preparation of relevant documentation.

Setup of auxiliary equipment to support injection moulding operations such as units etc.

Inspect the product for quality defects and monitor production processes by:

Analysing each process (to optimisation)

Stabilising each process (to handle current demand)

Standardising each process (to prevent backsliding)

Interpret SPC/ SCADA/ Iconics / QAuto data

Investigate and resolve HFI and complaints

Conduct daily process audits

Lead process related projects to deliver measurable improvements.

Verify quality of products via quality testing

Collaboratively work with key stakeholders at all levels to deliver continuous improvement.

Participate in cross functional teams to help achieve operational goals (SQDCIP).

Operate machines, start-ups and shutdowns, perform machine adjustments to meet Safety and Quality

Capable of performing basic maintenance on equipment requirements.Person Specification



Apprentice trained to ONC / HNC / C&G Level 3.

Experience of Using SPC and SCADA data.

TPM / 6S / Continuous Improvement / Lean experience.

Complex problem solving and fault finding experience

Ability to work and learn independentlyApply
