We are seeking a Procurement Manager to oversee and manage the E Tech Group's - Mission Critical Team procurement activities. You will play critical role to ensure that the organization secures the best quality goods and services at the most competitive prices while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. This role is located on-site in Plano, TX.
You will:
- Identify, propose and assist in implementing procurement strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Be a working manager with an expected utilization of 60% or better.
- Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful procurement decisions.
- Identify potential risks in the procurement process and develop mitigation strategies.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability criteria.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms for the company.
- Maintain and manage supplier relationships to ensure a continuous supply of goods and services.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers to ensure they meet E Tech Group's standards and expectations.
- Oversee the day-to-day procurement activities to ensure they are carried out efficiently and effectively.
- Manage procurement budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness in purchasing activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Become proficient in utilizing company procurement software systems.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to achieve high performance and professional growth.
- May include supervision and management of 1-3 direct reports.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, address challenges, and align on objectives.
- Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and market trends to senior management.
- Conduct cost analyses and develop cost-saving initiatives.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track procurement effectiveness.
- Be a team member that constantly adds value and prioritizes the success of E Tech Group, our clients, and the Careers of our associates.
- Identify and qualify electrical contractors for domestic low voltage controls installations.
- Attend and participate in select Mission Critical trade shows to meet other Control System Integrators (CSI) companies, various electrical subcontractors and manufacturers.
- Be the E Tech MCT main point of contact with the vendors / suppliers / subcontractors during the estimating, formal bidding, expediting, shipping, RMA return and warrantee process.
- Work with the MCT leadership team to develop and maintain a Procurement Work-Flow Diagram for the Mission Critical Team detailing the procurement process for materials, instruments and contract services. Train and mentor MCT team members on this process.
- Coordinate with MCT Program Directors, Program Managers and Project Managers to ensure all procurement activities flow through the procurement team during the life of the project.
- This will include but is not limited to:
- Subcontract management
- Vendor negotiations including Manufacturers, Manufacturers Representatives and Master Distributors.
- Vendor coordination
- Vendor management
- Material handling logistics
- Expediting
- Lead in assisting the project teams coordinate project site lease / rental agreements for equipment, trailers, warehouses and various other requirements.
- Assist Project Controls Manager in coordinating and reviewing E Tech Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), Master Subcontractor Agreement (MSA) and Contract Project Statements to LV electrical contractors.
You have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a managerial role and extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management and a proven track record of negotiating favorable terms and conditions.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A DNA comprised of collaboration and teamwork.
You may have:
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPIM, CPP, CPSM).
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (INTACCT)
- Knowledge of relevant legal regulations and compliance standards.
- Proven track record of cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
Travel:
- Travel (10%) or as appropriate.
