With an impressive portfolio of multi-million-pound projects, the company is committed to excellence in procurement, construction, and design.\n\nYour new role\n Our client is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee the procurement process for Build to Rent Apartments and Student Accommodation projects, with a focus on projects valued up to £60 million. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of all building materials, negotiating with key suppliers, and implementing cost-effective procurement strategies across their portfolio of projects.

You will work closely with the Board of Directors to drive efficiencies, ensure budget compliance, and enhance procurement processes.\n\nResponsibilities will include:\n\nManage Procurement of Building Materials: Oversee procurement for Build to Rent and Student Accommodation projects, with a budget of up to £60 million.\nDevelop Design Brief Documentation: Collaborate with the design team to ensure procurement specifications align with project requirements.\nEvaluate and Propose Alternatives: Review existing material specifications and proactively propose cost-effective alternatives to maximize project efficiencies.\nNegotiate Sole Supply Agreements: Establish exclusive supply agreements with key manufacturers and suppliers to ensure favorable terms.\nNegotiate Rebate Agreements: Negotiate and manage rebate agreements with key supply chain partners.\nProvide Rebate Forecasts: Regularly forecast and report on rebate agreements, ensuring accurate budgeting and cost control.\nCreate and Implement Procurement Systems: Develop and manage a new purchase order procurement system using Word and Excel to streamline processes and ensure accuracy.\nProvide Procurement Reports: Regularly prepare and present procurement reports to the Board of Directors to keep them informed on procurement progress and financial forecasts.\nProcess Site Requisitions: Efficiently manage site requisitions, ensuring that materials are sourced and delivered as needed.\nForecast Budget vs Actual Cost: Produce detailed cost reports comparing forecasted budget versus actual spend to ensure financial targets are met.What you will need to succeed:\n\nProven experience in procurement management, preferably within construction, property development, or a similar industry.\nStrong negotiation skills with experience in securing sole supply and rebate agreements.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting and system creation.\nAbility to evaluate existing material specifications and propose alternative solutions that maximize efficiency and reduce costs.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.\nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.\nA proactive approach to problem-solving and an ability to manage and prioritize competing demands.\nA background in procurement management for large-scale projects, particularly Build to Rent or Student Accommodation developments, is highly desirable.What you get in return:\n\nA competitive salary of £60,000 - £65,000 plus benefits.\nOpportunity to work for a leading property development company with an excellent reputation.\nA dynamic and supportive work environment with ample opportunities for career growth.\nAccess to healthcare, pension schemes, and performance-based bonuses.\nA chance to make a significant impact on high-profile projects in the Liverpool area.\nWork-life balance with a flexible working environment.This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Procurement Manager looking to take the next step in their career and contribute to a growing company with exciting and innovative projects.\n\nApply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist Mark Harris, or apply with your CV. \n\nBuilding Careers UK specialises in Construction and Property recruitment and serves as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
