Procurement Manager – Engineering Services – Luton (Hybrid Working) – Household Brand – up to £65,000 + package (20% bonus + further benefits)

With aggressive expansion underway household brand is investing in best-practice procurement, and with an untapped Engineering Services category to be managed the Firm is looking to hire a highly qualified Procurement specialist to join their team.


As Procurement Manager – Engineering Services you will be regarded as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a variety of £Multi-Million procurement sub-categories. You will be a strong negotiator and influencer, adept at building robust relationships with stakeholders at all levels, and capable of challenging and influencing senior management. With a keen eye for detail, you will excel in understanding complex contracts, analysing financial information with precision, and developing comprehensive business cases and RFPs.


A formal CIPS qualification would be advantageous, and experience in Engineering Services procurement is a bonus, though category expertise can be taught.


Procurement role summary:-

  • Collaborating with an executive and highly intelligent stakeholder community, ensuring procurement plays an integral part in the Firm’s aggressive expansion plans
  • Developing the procurement sourcing strategy across the Engineering category to deliver measurable benefits to the Firm
  • Implementing the strategic sourcing process including stakeholder engagement, opportunity assessment, market and requirements analysis, establishing sourcing strategy, supplier selection & negotiation and contract/supplier management.


In order to be successful you must have:-

  • Significant Procurement, Sourcing & Category Management experience (5-6 years) with a successful track record of handling £ multi-million procurement projects and managing market leading vendors
  • MCIPS but not essential
  • Strong tendering, negotiating and stakeholder management experience (including RFP, RFQ stages etc)
  • A high level of articulacy and professionalism
