Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) Business Management department is seeking a skilled and motivated Procurement Specialist to join our team. Our team works an onsite 9x80 schedule located at our Idaho Falls, EROB facility with every other Friday off! Responsibilities include: The Procurement Specialist has the authority to commit the company up to a delegated authority by providing acquisition support for the issuance of purchase orders and subcontracts of increasing complexity generally valued at <$250,000. More complex transactions are accomplished with oversight from more senior staff or Procurement Management. Primary position roles are as follows: • Procure mostly commercial goods and materials of simple to moderate complexity • Function as a single point of contact for assigned commodities and become a SME for those commodities • Initiate and administer simple fixed-price service acquisitions • Evaluate suppliers on the basis of price, quality and delivery • Establish strategic partnerships between customers and suppliers • Manage the entire procurement cycle ("cradle to grave") as follows: • Coordinate the identification, specification and sourcing of materials • Determine the most appropriate contracting instrument • Review requisition information including specifications • Solicit vendors and negotiate fair and reasonable prices, delivery and other terms with suppliers • Resolve receiving and accounting discrepancies (open order tracking) including expediting suppliers • Resolve discrepant order processing (snag list) • Close and archive procurements as required The Procurements Specialist shall: • Know, understand and follow INL policies and procedures applicable to the procurement process • Maintain precise documentation to justify decisions, conclusions, findings or recommendations • Provide guidance and direction to customers and suppliers regarding development of requisition documentation and other procurement-related issuesQualifications: Minimum Requirements: PR0100: Bachelor's degree PR0200: Bachelor's degree and 2 years materials purchasing experience preferred. • Manage multiple tasks and projects • Provide feedback, support and solutions to Procurement Management • Participate in pre-procurement planning with programs to help develop requisition documentation and assist Requestors as needed Job Information:
- Salary: PR0100-Grade 170 ($55,656-$89,112) PR0200-Grade 180 ($62,640 $100,224)
