Position Summary

The Print Procurement Specialist is a full-time role with job duties focusing on reviewing inventory position and coordinating with the product team and print vendors for ordering products and tracking movement of product to the warehouse. This role involves demand planning through the monitoring of on hand stock levels and managing the staffing and submission of purchase orders to vendors, as well as having the ability to perform quality control on files that go to print suppliers and evaluating proofs that come back. Attention to detail, mathematical skills, accuracy, and good communication skills are critical to ensure optimization of inventory levels and budget forecasts. This hybrid environment is typically fast paced, and the candidate must be comfortable in a growth environment with changing and competing priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain item demand data such as safety stock, reorder point, minimum stocking level, etc.… on all products within NetSuite
  • Run demand planning and PO forecast reports in NetSuite.
  • Enter PO’s in NetSuite, submit PO’s to vendors.
  • Enter work orders to as needed to manage inventory levels for kits. Complete work orders and transfer inventory to other locations if needed.
  • Collaborate with product team regarding product changes and customer issues.
  • Collaborate with product team for quality control of all files related to the printing of products.
  • Perform quality control of files prior to submitting to vendors for printing
  • Perform quality control of proofs upon receipt from print vendors.
  • Maintain close relationship with print vendors regarding current backlog status and notification requirements.
  • Make recommendations regarding purchases and quantities, leveraging cost savings where possible through large bulk purchases.
  • Track all open purchase orders and create and maintain vendor scorecards related to accuracy, timeliness, and cost.

Accountabilities:

  • Maintain adequate stock of all product to meet forecast demand.
  • Ensure all products are of sufficient quality to meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure all Purchase Orders are submitted and fulfilled on time

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or higher
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems
  • NetSuite experience with Demand Planning expertise preferred.
  • Experience in working in the print industry including the proof of files and product for printing is preferred.
  • Experience in vendor management preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
