Product Development Engineer

Engineering & Manufacturing (Non-IT)

Monday to Friday, full time office based.

For the past several years, our client has been making groundbreaking advancements in their sector. They're currently looking for a Product development engineer to join their busy and dedicated team. This tole is open to all levels and could be suitable for a graduate in Mechanical Engineering with experience using SolidWorks.

Main objective:

Support engineering design and development activities. Ensure successful product delivery, adherence to compliance standards, and achievement of business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Product Design:

• Develop new device concepts
• Utilise CAD (Solidworks) for modelling
• Rapid prototyping with 3D printing

Prototyping & Evaluation:

• Mechanism development and testing
• Technical problem-solving
• Report and document findings

Product Manufacture:

• Develop assembly processes
• Test mechanisms
• Supplier communication

General Duties:

• Support company product strategy
• Ensure compliance
• Manage risk and workload

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Mechanical Engineering or similar field
• Experience with CAD software (Solidworks)
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Team collaboration and communication skills
