
Product Development Engineer II
Responsibilities:

Work with various project teams as a product development engineer.
-
Plan, create, and document technical proposals and qualification tests for connectors, cables, and more complex product assemblies.

Collaborate in task planning and cost estimation independently or with other team members, both nationally and internationally.

Plan and communicate with team members abroad, which may occur outside regular working hours. You may need to travel domestically and internationally to visit customers, suppliers, and manufacturing facilities.

Perform various design and process activities, such as:
-
Mechanical design of: plastic and sheet metal enclosures, electrical contacts/connectors, injection-molded plastics, die-cast parts, machined parts, electrical cables.

Ability to read and understand 3D CAD models and 2D drawings.

Produce and review product documentation, including drawings, proposals, and technical reports under supervision.

Perform testing, data collection and analysis, research, and prototyping.

Conduct quality control initiatives, including planning inspection and measurement techniques both in the U.S. and abroad.

Work with factory engineers on assigned projects to develop, discuss, select, and implement controls and countermeasures using scientific tools like dFMEA, pFMEA, cause and effect diagrams.

Actively participate in sales activities with customers.

Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Licentiate degree (Desirable).
-
4-6 years of experience in similar positions.

Experience in mechanical and electrical testing.

Familiarity with basic risk analysis activities (DFMEA, PFMEA) and tolerance stack calculation (Desirable).
- Validation experience (must).
- Manufacturing experience (must).
