Summary: 
The primary function of this position is to support the design and production of garage door and
garage door components and improve efficiency of garage door production.
            
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, plan, and execute product changes through the plant, utilizing engineering change
processes.
2. Perform daily support of manufacturing related issues, resolution, and corrective action.
3. Assist production with standard operating procedure creation and communication.
4. SolidWorks modeling of products and new automation systems.
5. Assist in the improvement of new and existing factory systems.
6. Interact with the production team to evaluate processes and workflows and identify areas that will
benefit from automated solutions and continuous improvement.
7. Engineer and specify components used in automation equipment and products.
8. Work with suppliers and integrators to achieve project goals.
9. Communicate issues and status updates to the team.
10. Perform or assist with product testing required by Midland or industry standards.
11. Assist in developing product tests to validate products for Midland and industry standards.

Competencies:
Experience using SolidWorks or 3D CAD system and the ability to learn.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High integrity, strong work ethic, and detail oriented.
• Leadership skills with the ability to lead process improvements in a team environment.
• Excellent computer skills required.
• Has a high level of attention to detail, organization, and follow-through skills.
• Have prompt and reliable attendance.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. 

Education and Experience: 
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mechanical, manufacturing, or agricultural ) and 1-5 years of
engineering experience in a manufacturing setting or; an equivalent combination of education
and experience to successfully perform the essential responsibilities and duties as listed above.
