Job PurposeAs a Product Engineer in the Sensing and Mechatronics team within the Controls & Automation department, you will be part of the team that designs Subsea Control Systems for our global delivery projects. Our product portfolio consists of sensors, mechanical and hydraulic components and the products where these components are used. This specific position is meant to strengthen the sensor product scope.You will be part of highly competent engineering department, where everyone's contribution counts. The position allows you to follow our products from the requirement & concept phase, through implementation, and further to test and support at suppliers and internally.The position will involve collaboration with other departments and disciplines, such as our internal SW department, supply chain and external suppliers.Job Description Perform Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) work to secure that our products will ensure the safety of personnel and environment, have the right quality, fit into our project deliverables and have a competitive cost level. Focus on standardization, simplification and industrialization. Provide global product support during tender, project execution and field operation. Support product training and supplier follow-up with special attention to product price, quality and product development. Work together with other engineering disciplines like system- and lead engineers and test and qualification engineers as well as support functions, such as planning and sourcing, and manufacturing. You are meant for this job if: You have a Master or Bachelor of Science in electrical-, control-, systems engineering or similar. Have experience in the oil and gas industry and specific knowledge of subsea control systems are beneficial, but not a prerequisite. Motivation and drive can compensate for lack of experience. Are solution orientated and structured to solve complex challenges. Have relation building abilities and work well in team-oriented environments. Are fluent in English, both written and oral.
