We are currently seeking a Product Quality Support Engineer to join our team in Luton, where you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the necessary specifications, technical design documents, and quality requirements.



Role Overview:

As a Product Quality Support Engineer, you will be responsible for assessing the quality requirements of specifications and technical design documents, ensuring that the feedback provided is timely, relevant, and meaningful. You will work across various departments to create, prepare, and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), as well as associated directives, procedures, and instructions to support the overall quality plan.



What You Will Do:



* Review enquiry documents and prepare summary QA/QC documentation as part of the quotation submission process.



* Prepare and maintain product specifications and process procedures, including monitoring approval records (Agility System).



* Prepare detailed SIRs (Strip and Inspection Reports) for customer approval, if required.



* Carry out all measurement requirements as needed.



* Control contract quality plans and monitor live QP’s for daily status updates.



* Maintain and control NDE (Non-Destructive Examination) qualification records.



* Control CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions), specifically for nuclear applications.



* Perform certification checks and stamped sign-offs against standards and HT PO text.



* Oversee the control of MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) in nuclear environments.



* Manage subcontract deliveries, monitoring progress, compliance, and due dates.



* Maintain and control weld and welder qualifications where applicable.



* Ensure changes in QA specifications are reflected in accordance with the Engineering Manager’s requirements.



* Monitor and incorporate changes to QA compliance, integrating relevant design codes (ASME, API, etc.).



* Provide quality support to Sales, Operations, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, and Test teams.



* Participate in or lead quality improvement projects.



* Take part in supplier and internal/external QA audit activities.



What You Will Need:



* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a QA role within a heavy engineering environment.



* Proficiency in using a range of standard measuring equipment and understanding calibration requirements.



* Strong ability to interpret and understand technical drawings.



* Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and SolidWorks (design).



* UK Passport holder (dual is allowed, but the first must be British).



* Full UK driving licence.



* ISO 9001 experience.



* Calibration control experience.



* Auditing experience
